HERMON CEMETERY - We have been receiving calls regarding the Hermon Cemetery. Please be advised that the Town of Hermon does not have authority over the Hermon Cemetery. This cemetery is owned and operated by the Hermon Cemetery Association. If you have questions, comments or complaints regarding the Hermon Cemetery we would advise you to call Ronald Bovay who is President of the Association at 315-347-4799.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS - The United Methodist Church of Hermon has a food bank with basic needs to assist any member of our community in need. If you know of elderly, shut-ins or those in need, please have them call April Allen at 315-854-5135 for assistance!
HERMON TOWN COURT - The Hermon Town Court, with the Honorable Christopher Velez presiding, is now open. Notary services are now available at the Court or anytime the Judge or Clerk are at the office. Office: (315) 347-2091.
NEW CODES OFFICER APPOINTED - Michael McQuade of Gouverneur has been appointed by the Town Board as the Code Officer for the Town of Hermon effective Monday, May 11, 2020, Mike has been Code Officer for the Town of Gouverneur and Village of Gouverneur since 2009. He has also been Acting Assessor of Gouverneur since 2012. We welcome Mike and his experience to the Town of Hermon!
BRIDGE PROJECT - The McBrier Bridge has reopened for use. There will be some finish paving and guardrails to be installed on Monday, August 31, 2020, but we have reopened it for use. Many thanks to our highway crew Brian Brunet, Shain Brunet, Mike Hendrick, Dustin Brunet, Brent McAdam and Mandy Matthews for all their hard work the past three months as they were integral support staff to Fiacco and Riley Contractors in completing the renovation of the bridge. Many thanks as well to our residents on Jefferson Street when all normal bridge traffic had to be detoured down their street. Your patience is appreciated by all of us!
ATV USAGE ON TOWN ROADS - The Town of Hermon's roads are not part of the St. Lawrence County Trail System and are not open to any off road vehicles. New York State law prohibits the use of any highway by off road atv and utv vehicles unless they are approved connector roads of a county approved trail system. Violaters can be ticketed and fined. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN DONATING A GIFT TO THE TOWN OF HERMON - The Town has passed a resolution to accept gifts. The gift giver may be specific on how they would like their gift used. The gift is acknowledged in writing. Recently, we received a gift from James Morrill for our Historical Center. Lenore Zaunere, Town Historian, has put this gift to wonderful use.
